Well if this face doesn't make you happy on this wonderful Thanksgiving day, I don't know what will!

Back To School
Today was the first day of our last high school year. *tear tear*
Teresa: I woke up with absolutely no inspiration and opted for an easy and casual look, partly because it was gloomy outside and I don't feel like rebelling against the school dress code just yet. Maybe tomorrow?
Angelica: I hope you can all forgive me for my brief leave of absence but I'm back and ready to post like a mad woman! Naturally, as I anticipated the arrival of this bittersweet day, the preparation of outfits and a beauty regimen commenced. So with that being said I planned rigorously, from my head to my toes and the items in my purse, for this not-so-according-to-plan day. Let's see how well that works out for me tomorrow, because everything just went so smoothly today (sarcastic tone intended) ...

DOOMSDAY: Senior Pictures
ELLO mates!
The dreaded day is upon us here at Carson High, picture day. But not just any ol' routine picture day. SENIOR Picture Day. You know, the type where your mommy fixes your tie and pinches your cheeks, your dad tells you not to grow up too fast because he wants you to stay his little princess forever; it's one of THOSE days.
If forced smiles and cliche poses aren't enough, don't forget about the cringe-worthy oh-so-luxurious robes and furs offered in the the so called "Deluxe Package" for your PERSONALITY pictures...
As for me, I opted for the traditional cap and gown, and refused to be seen in those less than luxurious materials. Ahhh yes, how can I leave out how embarrassingly uncomfortable and tiresome those darn poses were? Well. They weren't. But I'm feeling a bit dramatic today. (The regret of not posing with synthetic gorilla fur is sinking in.)

Big Girl Pants: Business in the Front. Party on the Side.
Salutations!
This past weekend was filled with relatives visiting from lands far, far, away! As far as Mexico, that is. The Mother Land. The home of my ancestors. And most astonishing of all? "Mexico is now the fattest nation in this hemisphere and one of the fattest nations in the world" according to houston.culturemap.com ... The more you know... I hope you all are as mind-blown as I am, that's a race I never thought America would lose (you see what I did there?).
OKAY, so out with the lame fun facts and into the fashion! Us Messicanos are known for our not-so-little fiestas and our abundance of extended family. There was plenty of that this weekend. Exhibit A:

Playing Dress-Up: Mini-me Edition
Howdy y'all!
I spent this fine evening with the two
little ladies-- my cousins-- whom I have the honor to consider my mini-me's. My
love for beauty, clothes, and frankly, all things fashion has been evident ever
since I can remember; and I like to think that I have kind of instilled in them
a mutual interest in the beauty and fashion industry as well.
Here is a little sneak peak into our game
of dress-up, which to this day we still have not outgrown. It warms my heart
when they ask to try on my clothes and play with my make-up...
Redondo Beach: First of many photoshoots to come.
And so it begins...
Salutations visitors! Yet again, after numerous attempts to capture a decent photo where my outfit and face cooperate, my photographer Valerie Diaz and I came to the conclusion that candid photos are the best photos, for my expertise in modeling tends to leave something to be desired.
Enjoy my lovelies.

Greetings Fellow Fashion Enthusiasts! ANGELICA HAS ARRIVED!
I'm so excited to finally introduce myself, and debut my most recent outfit on zee bloggo de fashion.
Just so you can can get a taste of who I am, I chose this picture out of many failed attempts of trying to look natural, as I posed unnaturally in front of various shrubs and bushes; whilst bribing my 10 year old photographer with hand-me-downs. I opted for one of my signature "Awkward Turtle" poses.
